There are some things that can help one know that they are about to lose their hearing ability.
One way to know that you could be having hearing problems is if you are struggling to hear what other people are saying. On normal cases one easily hears all that is being said. Reason being that ones ability to hear is high. For people who are losing their ability to hear, they will always ask you to raise your voice when speaking. When in areas that there are so many people, it becomes so hard for someone to tell what is being said. A good example is when you are in the restaurants. If you are going through that it should be an alert that you are losing your ability to hear.
The other way to tell that you could be having a hearing problem is when you always have to turn the music volume so high so that you can hear. People who are just ok with their hearing ability manage to enjoy the music at any volume. These sorts of people will turn up the volume because they want to hear what is being said and not enjoy the full blast music. If you find that your ears are always ringing, you then have an issue. There are times when one will feel their ears ring when hit. The ringing that takes place when one is hit does not last long. The one that should signal you that you are having listening problems takes longer and occurs occasionally.
Just in case you find yourself not interested in phone calls, you could be losing your hearing ability. One will dislike the calls since they are straining to hear what the other person is saying. You might find that they also shout when they are on a call. Their call volume is at the top and they do not manage to relate to what is said.
These people will also withdraw socially. When in a group and having a conversation one finds that all they can hear is noise. These same people feel less confident to speak in a group since they are not able to relate to what is being said.
